Our unique online custom sofa builder puts you in complete control. Every Clad Home sofa can be personalized in dozens of sizes and configurations, over 200 carefully curated high-performance fabrics (including patterns!), and various fills and leg styles. You can even add optional extras like an ultra-comfy memory foam fold-out bed, throw pillows, or a matching ottoman with storage.

Step 1: Choose Your Silhouette

Since dimensions, fabric, legs, fill, and cushions are fully customizable on every model, the first step is selecting your sofa's silhouette. This is where your personal style shines.

Do you prefer big, blocky arms that give your book a perch, or slender arms that maximize seating space? A base that extends to the ground (no vacuuming underneath—ever), or legs for a more airy feel? If your sofa will sit away from the wall, consider a curved frame that's beautiful from every angle.

Maybe you're drawn to classic English roll arms, sophisticated tufting, or a unique seat cushion design. We've made just about every style you can imagine. Here are a few favorites:

Step 2: Pick A Layout

After settling on a silhouette, you'll select your sofa's footprint. All our sofas come in multiple sizes and configurations. We offer everything from a petite loveseat, to a sofa in any length, to a sprawling sectional. Choose a left chaise, a right chaise, or make it reversible—ideal for tight spaces or if you're renting and want flexibility in the future.

Step 3: Select Your Fabric

Our entire fabric collection is intentionally curated for three things: beauty, durability, and stain resistance. We offer five fabric categories organized by texture, from linens to velvets to nubby wovens and patterns.

Every single fabric we carry is considered high-performance. Many are Greenguard and Oeko-Tex certified, meaning no harsh solvents or heavy metals are used in the dyeing and manufacturing process. Your sofa should be a refuge, not a health risk—which is why our furniture is never treated with toxic flame retardant chemicals.

And if none of our fabrics seem quite right, you're always welcome to provide your own. Simply fill out our COM (customer's own material) submission form and we'll tell you exactly how many yards to send.

Step 4: Dial In Your Dimensions

Clad Home furniture is offered in a wide array of sizes and configurations. When we say custom, we really mean it. Use our easy sofa builder to dial in your ideal length, chaise size, seating depth, and more. Even our daybeds can be ordered narrower like a bench, or broader for lounging.

Pro tip: Double-measure all doorways, corridors, stairways, and elevator cabins to ensure the perfect fit.

Step 5: Choose Your Cushion Style

This is truly personal preference, and there's no wrong answer! Some prefer a seamless, undivided seat cushion. Others like to break it up. Whatever your taste, we've got you covered, and at zero extra cost! Browse through our cushion options and choose the one that makes you happy.

Step 6: Pick Your Fill

Cushion stuffing is your next decision. All seat cushions are constructed with high-quality, high-density foam at their core, then encased on all sides by the padding material you select.

As part of our commitment to environmental responsibility, our foam is manufactured right here in Southern California using a special CO2 process that avoids releasing ozone-depleting chemicals.

Down Feather: Foam seat encased on both sides by a baffled envelope of down and feathers. Back cushions are composed of baffled down and feather fill as well (pictured here on our Sherwood sofa.) 

Trillium: Foam seat encased on both sides by a baffled envelope of down-alternative fill made from specially lofted polyester fiber that mimics the look and feel of down. Perks of Trillium are that it's hypoallergenic, animal-free, and you'll never see rogue escaping feathers. Back cushions are baffled Trillium fill as well (shown here on our Whittier sofa.) 

Optional Extras to Consider

Sleeper Sofas: Consider yourself warned—our sleeper sofas feature an ultra-comfy memory foam mattress that may encourage your guests to overstay their welcome. If you thought "comfy sleeper sofa" was an oxymoron, think again.

Available in twin, full, and queen sizes, most Clad Home sofas can be upgraded to a sleeper. Just note that because the fold-out mechanism must be hidden by your sofa base, sleeper sofas will have shorter legs.

Throw Pillows: Inspired by designer Sarah Sherman Samuel when we designed her Sherwood sofa (featured in Domino magazine!), we now offer matching throw pillows made in the same fabric as your sofa. Choose from squares, rectangles, or beautifully tailored bolster pillows. Because sometimes more is more.

Ottomans: Our custom matching ottomans are a popular add-on, especially those with hidden storage inside. (Because who can't use more storage!?) Your ottoman will be designed to match the style and scale of your sofa, which you'll get to approve on your personalized design sketch before production begins.

Step 7: Select Your Legs

The legs you choose can really pull the whole look together. All of our solid wood legs (available in dozens of styles and six different finishes) come standard on any sofa at no extra charge.
